The SLX is a 4-part “Non-Stick” grinder, machined out of ultra-durable 7075 T6 aluminum and is shrouded with a special ceramic coating. Its diameter is 62mm, its height 37mm and its wall thickness totals to 2mm.
The non-stick ceramic coating of the SLX is applied on the inside and outside of the grinder - every lip, every tooth, even the pollen chamber is covered with this sophisticated coating. It never sticks, and it does not need cleaning - ever. The ceramic coating is bonded with the aluminum at the molecular level, ensuring durability. It is 100% non-toxic, approved for food contact, and will not burn or release any harmful chemicals.
The coating is super low friction, thus every SLX turns just as easily in 6 months as it did on day one. It repels even the stickiest resin buildup, keeping your grinder looking and spinning like new, no matter how sticky your herbs are. It never sticks, it never needs cleaning, what more could you wish for?
Coming along with 55 trapezoid-shaped teeth, with 4 sharp cutting edges that provide a fluffy, consistent grind.
Got sweaty hands? No problem! Every SLX features comfortable slab cuts and serrations at the top and bottom of the grinder for optimal grip.
Extremely important: Do not use any metal tools to scrape the SLX!
With enough force, it is possible to dislodge the coating. While the coating is non-toxic and will not burn, scratches will impede the function of it. If there are any herbs that just do not come out, the included plastic pick is the best tool to remove it. A toothpick or any other soft material can be used as well.
The SLX offers a screen made from stainless steel with a fine micron size - ensuring only pollen getting filtered, not pieces of herb. The screen is removable without any threads, this allows the grinder to be used as 4-part or 3-part depending on your preferences.
